Maria Jolanta Gruza was born in 1954 in Częstochowa. Following family traditions and her interests, she began studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, which she attended from 1973 to 1978. At the Faculty of Interior Architecture she obtained a diploma in architectural design in the studio of Prof. Zbigniew Ihnatowicz. She also completed studies in painting in the studio of Prof. Romuald Ziemski. From 1981 member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers. He presents his works in both Polish and foreign galleries. Most of the artist's works are in the collections of Europe, America and Australia.
