Paula Yezak, born in 1990, graduated in psychology from Warsaw University. While still a student, she started working for the WWF Poland Foundation, which was the beginning of her actions for nature. In 2015 she did an internship with IFAW in Iceland for the benefit of whales, and a year later she volunteered at an elephant conservation project in Thailand. The year 2020 proved to be a turning point, when she decided to combine her previous experiences with her creative passion, which was painting from a young age.
In her practice, the artist uses mainly acrylic on canvas, and feels most at home in large-scale abstractions. She still experiments with methods to create multi-layered structures, working intuitively using her knowledge of the psychology of colour. Her message is to sensitise the viewer with a subtle composition of colours, believing that what the world needs is more sensitivity and empathy.
