Andrzej Folfas (born 1948 in Witow, Podhale) attended A. Kenar State College in Zakopane in 1963-67, where he graduated under Professors W. Hasior, T. Brzozowski and A. Rząsa. He then completed his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in the Department of Interior Architecture under Prof. J. Ząbkowski, Prof. T. Kutermak, Prof. B. Braun and Prof. M. Sigmund.
Distinguished by the Minister of Culture with the Silver Cross of Merit and a distinction of the City of Cracow as a meritorious activist of culture and art. His paintings are to be found in the National Museum and the Historical Museum of the city of Cracow, as well as in private collections. He has taken part in numerous exhibitions in Germany, France, Sweden and Austria. For many years he cooperated with the Dominik Rostworowski Gallery in Cracow until its closure in 2012.
